Ischigualasto in time.

Geology divides the history of the Earth called on big stages Eras: Paleozoic, Mesozoic and Cenozoic. The Mesozoic Era, beginning 225 to 250 million years ago was marked by the expansion of reptiles, among which are the big dinosaurs. At the end of this era, 70 million years ago was a major extinction of these reptiles, leaving the hegemony of the Earth to mammals. Ischigualasto represents the first of which is divided into periods that Mesozoic Era, the so-called Triassic period that lasts about 45 to 50 million years. Ischigualasto is in the best and most complete representation of this moment in the history of life on earth, having found numerous remains of plants and animals that lived at that time. The finding remnants of one of the oldest dinosaurs known, carnivore 'Eoraptor lunensis' (ancient predator) will give new answers about the origin and evolution of these small primitive relatives (carnivores and herbivores) of giants who inhabited the earth during the Mesozoic Era. That is the true scientific value of Ischigualasto.
